Introduction

Jinnah University for Women established in 1998 (view gazette) under the umbrella of Anjuman-e-Islamia Trust founded by Al-Haj Moulvi Reyazuddin Ahmed (T.I).

The University is one of the 17 institutions established by the Trust but is the most important, as the dream of the founder to establish a separate University for girls came true.

The University supports intellectual and personal growth of students, preparing them to become transformational citizen with sound ethical; culture and religious values.

Jinnah University for Women focuses on priorities in increasing the quality of service delivery, providing practical cum industrial oriented syllabus, promoting total quality management of educational programs, ensuring a valuable campus environment for the faculty and students, increasing value added programs, convergence of technologies, taking the benefits of research and development to the communities in need.

To achieve these goals, the girls are empowered through quality education to take best advantage of their educational opportunities and they are endorsed with critical thoughts, leading them to assume roles in leadership, sense of responsibility, and service to the society.

Inherent in this broad mission are methods of instruction, research, extensive training, and public service that are skillfully designed to educate our students and impart keen ambition and aspiration to serve their own kind. Basic to every purpose of the University is the investigation of truth and remodeling of excellence.

The University's only financial resource, as compared to private sector's Universities of the country, is the lowest fee structure, with which the management is sacrificially managing to equip the female population.

The Scholarship is awarded to students on the basis of merit-cum-need basis to facilitate the meritorious and needy students giving financial support for their studies.

The Jinnah University for Women is included among others private sector Universities /DAI's which are eligible to receive funding from Higher Education Commission for R&D activities, teachers training, faculty hiring and infra structure development.

In terms of admission policy, the date of opening of admissions, availability of forms, submission of forms and other details are announced through press is available on Jinnah University website www.juw.edu.pk and facebook official page www.facebook.com/juwofficialpage It is to be pointed out that all admissions are provisional subject to verification of documents. If any candidate secures admission on the basis of misinformation and/or fake documents, her admission can be cancelled at any time.

The Jinnah University for Women follows semester system, according to which an academic year is divided into two semesters, each of 20 weeks duration, including one week for registration and two weeks for examinations.

A discipline committee has been constituted to maintain conducive situation within the campus and to ensure a proper academic environment. The Committee takes notice of the cases of infringement of law and order and undesirable activities at the campus, and takes disciplinary action against the offenders. The Committee meets a number of times in the year to review the prevailing law and order situation and other related matters and take appropriate decisions.

The University organizes different programs to promote participation of its students in co-curricular activities. The schedule is announced by the office of the Advisor Students' Affairs. Sports facilities are also available.

A room is furnished with essential medical facilities. A trained nurse present during University timings provides first aid to students & staff.
