A grand ceremony was organized at Jinnah University for Women in connection with the 150th birth anniversary of the founder of Pakistan, Muhammad Ali Jinnah in a grand manner; on this occasion the speakers paid reach tribute to the Quaid’s visionary leadership and his unparalleled struggle for the creation of Pakistan.
Barrister Shahida Jamil (EX, Law Minister of Sindh Province) highlighted the historical facts that led to the Pakistan movement ultimately to the establishment of Pakistan. She stated that it had become impossible, for Muslims to led alongside both the Hindus and the British, and the leaders of All-India Muslim League, including Quaid-e-Azam fully understood the need to gain freedom from them. Therefore, the Muslim League launched vigorous struggle and despite all conspiracies, Quaid-e-Azam made the creation of Pakistan possible.
Ms. Akram Khatoon (EX, First President of First Women Bank) said that she was very young at the time of Pakistan movement, but decision about Quaid-eAzam took place in their home. After the creation of Pakistan when her parents informed about the demise of Quaid-eAzam her creation was how could Quaid-e-Azam ever die?
Ameena Saiyid (EX, Country Head ‘’Oxford University Press’’ in Pakistan) said that the inspiring leadership of Muhammad Ali Jinnah made the creation of Pakistan possible. She added that it is very important to make the younger generation aware of historical facts.
Kheso Mal Khel Das (Minister of State, Interfaith Harmony) said that minorities in Pakistan enjoy complete freedom and that no one attacks their temples here. Where as in India Mosques belonging to Muslims are destroyed. He further said that his forefather loved a great state of Pakistan.
At this occasion Wajeeh Uddin Ahmed, The Chancellor of Jinnah University, thanked all the guests and said that their University has the honored that its founder, Reyazuddin Ahmed, named the educational institutions he established after Jinnah with written permission of Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
He further said that the need of hour is for us to understand the message of faith, unity, and discipline.
