Established in 1998, the Department of Biochemistry at Jinnah University for Women has emerged as a beacon of excellence in both education and research. The department of Biochemistry proudly hosts a diverse and highly qualified faculty, including seven Ph.D. and three M.Phil. degree holders, who are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of biochemists and molecular biologists.

In addition to the core BS, MS, and Ph.D. programs in Biochemistry, the department has expanded its academic reach by offering BS and AD programs in Molecular Biology. The Department of Biochemistry also includes a modern Computer Lab with over 60 computers, supporting a wide range of computational needs for both research and education.
