THE FOUNDER’S MESSAGE
AL HAJ MOULVI RAYAZUDDIN AHMED (Tamgha e Imtiaz)Al Haj Moulvi Rayazuddin Ahmed (T.I), a direct descendant of Hazrat Sheikh Saleem Uddin Chishty, was born in 1906 in the city of Taj Mahal, the city of intellectuals and poets. His early upbringing through parents and education instilled in him love for education inspite of being enslaved in government service.

Education has been unanimously regarded as the key factor in the development of personality of an individual, as well as that of a society and a nation. Any efforts put in education consequently lead to formidable behavioral changes. The first gift given to humanity by its creator, when first human being was created, was knowledge. Similarly Islamic religion tradition began with the command from the creator to read, contemplate and produce knowledge in order to serve the humanity.

This year is very special, has brought happiness and encouragement among all in the University as the President of Pakistan has conferred Tamgha-e-Imtiaz to Al-Haj Moulvi Reyazuddin Ahmed in recognition of his hard and sincere efforts for the cause of education and especially for female population.
The history of development, across the globe, amply, demonstrates that education is the key condition for economic, social and political development. The human and social development in developing countries, establishes a direct relationship between female education.

Hope we will inculcate in you the spirit of nation building and arm you with the tools to become guiding lights for others. I hope we will do our best to facilitate the transfer of wisdom and knowledge. We aim to light up the fire of original thinking and passion for service to the nation in each student.
In all this, we have made every effort to be sensitive and compassionate to the marginalized and the people in need. This has been the unique character of Jinnah University for Women. It encourages the bright and talented students performing well, but the university considers transforming a weak student to perform better its real achievement.
The University constantly strives to build on its major fronts including Leadership, Innovative Entrepreneurship, Research and Training. Over the years, Jinnah University for Women has undergone many positive transformations.
The Jinnah University for Women was founded by Al-Haj Moulvi Reyazudin Ahmed (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz) being the first Women University of Pakistan & the only women university in the Private sector of the country. According to the insight of Moulvi Sahab that women play a vital role by contributing in good governance of a country, this university finally believes that women must be given equal opportunity of education.
Further, regular research activities are supported; thereby MS/M.Phil and Ph.D programs are available in different departments.
I acknowledge the sincere efforts of the learned faculty for their dedication and hard work to make the teaching / learning process at the best.
