- Speech Competition (Urdu/English)
On 8th August 2024, the university hosted a speech competition in English & in Urdu that drew enthusiastic participants and spectators from various departments. The event aimed to foster public speaking skills, creativity, and confidence among students.

On 8th August 2024, the university hosted a documentary and short video competition that drew creative filmmakers from various departments. The event aimed to promote storytelling, creativity, and visual expression among students.
Theme:

Participation:
20 teams from different disciplines participated in the competition, submitting documentaries and short videos that showcased their perspectives and ideas on the theme.
Judging Criteria:
- Creativity and Originality: How uniquely and creatively is the theme represented?
- Content Relevance: How well does the video reflect the theme of optimism about Pakistan?
- Clarity and Quality: Is the video clear, well-edited, and professionally presented?
- Impact: Does the video effectively inspire hope and positivity?
Winners:
Winner: Noor Zafar (Department of Media Studies).
Runner Up: Fizza Rehman (Department of Media Studies).
- Poster & Painting Competition
On 8th August 2024, the university hosted a poster and painting competition that drew talented artists from various departments. The event aimed to promote creativity, self-expression, and artistic skills among students.

Creativity, Composition, Technique, Use of Color, Emotional Impact and Theme Interpretation.

Runner Up: Fatima Ahmed (Department of Visual Studies)

- Essay Writing Competition (English/Urdu)

- Cricket Match (Inter Faculty)
On August 9th, 2024, a thrilling cricket match was played between University teams as part of the Independence Day celebrations. The event, organized at the University grounds, attracted enthusiastic crowds, with students, faculty, and staff turning up to support their respective teams.
The match featured the Jinnah Shaheen v/s Jinnah Dolphins
Both teams displayed remarkable sportsmanship and skill, making the game a memorable one. The match concluded with the Jinnah Shaheen victorious by 7 wickets, adding to the festive spirit of the day. The event was a great success, showcasing the university's vibrant community spirit and love for sports, making it a perfect tribute to Independence Day 2024.
- Grand Event (12th August 2024)
In continuation of the Independence Day celebrations, a grand event was held on 12th August 2024 at the university premises. The program was graced by the presence of esteemed guests, and Honorable Mr. Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Provincial Minister for Energy, Planning and Development as the Chief Guest. The event also featured several prominent personalities, including university dignitaries, faculty members, and student representatives.
The program commenced with the Recitation of the Holy Quran, setting a solemn and respectful tone for the proceedings. This was followed by the National Anthem, sung with fervor by the entire assembly, symbolizing unity and patriotism.
The Chancellor of the University Mr. Wajeeh Uddin Ahmed delivered the Welcome Address, in which he highlighted the significance of Independence Day and the importance of remembering the sacrifices made by our forefathers. He also expressed his gratitude to the honorable guests and attendees for their participation in the celebration.
Following the welcome address, a National Song was presented by the university students, stirring emotions and filling the hall with a deep sense of pride and love for the country.
One of the highlights of the program was a Stage play Presented by the students, which depicted the struggles and sacrifices of the heroes of the independence movement. The play was both poignant and inspiring, reminding everyone of the values of freedom and the responsibility to uphold them.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, expressed about the importance of youth in nation-building, encouraging students to contribute positively to the country’s future. He also emphasized the need to preserve the spirit of independence and work towards the progress and prosperity of the nation.
The event continued with an Awards Distribution ceremony, where students were recognized for their outstanding achievements in competitions which were the part of celebrations of Independence Day 2024. These awards were presented by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries, who congratulated the recipients on their success and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence.
Finally, the program concluded with a Souvenir presented by Chancellor to the chief gest and some other personalities who graced the event with full of interest. The event ended on a high note, with the audience leaving inspired and motivated to contribute to the country’s growth and development.
The programs for Independence Day celebration were resounding success, reflecting the university's commitment to celebrating the nation's heritage and fostering a sense of patriotism among its students and faculty.
