Jinnah University for Women (JUW) successfully organized its annual flagship event, ERITA 2026, on 31st January 2026, celebrating student innovation, research, and entrepreneurship. The event featured two key segments: Category 1 – Project Display and Category 2 – Business Idea Pitching Competition.
Category 1: Project Display
The Project Display showcased innovative academic and applied projects from various faculties and departments. Projects were presented theme-wise and were evaluated by experienced external field experts, ensuring objective and industry-relevant assessment.
The themes included:
- Technology & Engineering
- Food Innovation & Nutrition
- Green Energy, Sustainability, Environment & Ecosystem
- Health & Medicine
- Social Impact & Community Development
- Women Empowerment
First, Second, and Third positions were awarded in each theme based on innovation, practicality, and presentation quality.
Category 2: Business Idea Pitching Competition
The Business Idea Pitching Competition provided a professional platform for students to present entrepreneurial solutions to real-world challenges. The competition was judged by a distinguished external panel comprising Mr. Azhar Rizvi, Mr. Razzaq Abbas, and Mr. Imran Azeem.
The winning teams were:
- First Position: ScoliAssist — Computer Science & Software Engineering (CSSE)
- Second Position: Smart Testing Kit — Pharmacy Department
- Third Position: ECODERM — Pharmacy
JUW-ERITA 2026 successfully reinforced JUW’s commitment to innovation, applied research, and entrepreneurship. The participation of external industry experts and field specialists enhanced the quality and credibility of evaluations, making ERITA a meaningful annual learning experience for JUW students.
