Jinnah University for Women successfully hosted the International Conference on Sustainable Practices in Pharmaceutical Advancements (JUW-ICSPA 2025), organized by the Faculty of Pharmacy from 25–27 November 2025. The event brought together national and international experts, researchers, industry professionals, and students under the theme “Pharmaceutical Innovation for Global Well-being and Future Resilience.”
In her Inaugural Address, the Honorary Conference Chair Ms. Waniya Wajeeh, Registrar, Jinnah University for Women, warmly welcomed all participants. She extended her heartfelt best wishes for a productive and successful series of sessions, encouraging meaningful discussion, collaboration, and knowledge exchange throughout the conference. She further congratulated the Faculty of Pharmacy for their vision in bring together such a diverse and multidisciplinary audience including academicians, researchers, industrial professionals, and policymakers, essential for advancing the conference theme and enriching the dialogue on emerging challenges and opportunities within the field.
The conference was graced by distinguished Chief Guests. Dr. Nazli Hossain, Vice Chancellor of Dow University of Health Sciences, highlighted the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence and other emerging trends in the healthcare sector. She emphasized the vital need for collaboration and interdisciplinary partnerships as key solutions to global health challenges.
Another esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Mushtaq Kassim Chhapra, Philanthropist, industrialist, and founder of major welfare institutions including The Citizens Foundation, Patients Aid Foundation, and The Kidney Centre. He addressed the importance of female education and women’s empowerment in driving national progress and strengthening Pakistan’s healthcare and education systems.
The three-day event featured keynote addresses, scientific paper presentations, poster sessions, and interactive panel discussions, showcasing advancements in pharmaceutical sciences, sustainable healthcare practices, and clinical innovations. A series of pre-conference workshops provided hands-on training in areas such as computer-aided drug design, analytical techniques, and modern drug delivery methods.
