Department of Biotechnology, Jinnah University for Women participated at DUHS where the collaborative initiative between DUHS and NIB was organized, involving other universities, to showcase their innovative concepts and products. Ideas were recruited on the basis of innovation, business point of view and problem solving approach. Two projects from Department of Biotechnology secured 6th and 7th positions in this competition.
- Project entitled as “Production of Biodiesel from Waste Cooking Oil” under the supervision of Ms. Umaiya Abdali won 6th position at DUHS NIB project display and received a cash prize of Rupees 10,000
- Project entitled “Bio-cementation: An Innovative Approach for Sustainable Material Production using Hard Water” secured the 7th position at the DUHS NIB project display. Students received a cash prize of 10,000 rupees
