Strategy for Teachers / Students / Staff

Following Sop’s are mandatory to be followed by teachers/students/staff on return to the University.

  • The whole constructed area of the University including Classrooms, Laboratories, Computer Labs, Library, Canteen and Offices have been sprayed to disinfect the campus.
  • The Deans of respective faculties are designated as the authority to monitor the return of Teacher and Students on daily basis
  • Initially the Final Semester students of all departments are invited.
  • Later, as per conditions students of other semesters will be invited.
  • Regular letter to the students to be issued and will be asked to submit Affidavit and Health declaration
  • The Teachers and Staff has also to submit these two declarations.
  • The University timings are from 9:00am to 2:00pm.
  • AFFIDAVIT: All returning personnel will be asked to sign an affidavit that they have been given an option to not return, and have chosen to return, that they will adhere by all safety protocols and other instructions in this regard, and that they will not hold the university liable if they contract the virus in spite of the safety protocols. In case of students, their Parents/ Guardians should also signed the form.
  • HEALTH DECLARATION: All those planning to return should submit a health declaration, which states that they are in good health (or, whether they have any health condition), and whether they have undergone under any COVID testing and/or treatment during the closure period. In case of students, their Parents/Guardians should also sign the declaration.
  • GUIDELINES TO RETURNEES FOR PREPARATION: All those intending to return to campus should follow the instructions below:
    • FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS: Read all instructions carefully, enter the contact information of key individuals in your phone's database, and sign the Affidavit and Health Declaration.
    • IN CASE OF SYMPTOMS: Anyone who may be experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, or a member of whose household develops these symptoms, or if they have been in a contact with a COVID-19 infected person should not return to campus and should share with University.
  • SOPs: All members of the campus community, including faculty, staff, and students, are expected to adhere to the following guidelines in order to protect the health of the students, faculty, and staff, and the procedure to be followed in case of COVID-related symptoms.
    • Wear a mask and gloves at all times when in a public space on campus.
    • Maintain social/ physical distancing of 3-6 feet in classrooms, laboratories, libraries, cafeterias, offices, corridors and staircases.
    • Maintain good hygiene practices. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water or use a hand sanitizer; dry the hands before leaving the bathroom. Use a tissue (and dispose it properly) or the crook of your elbow when coughing or sneezing.
    • Use only the designated entrances and exits.
    • Review latest updates and general guidance provided by the University on the web portal to be designed specifically for updating COVID related information.
    • Use communal facilities, e.g., canteens, meeting rooms, printers and photocopiers only in accordance with the designated protocols, as it may be necessary to stagger usage or to continue to hold remote meetings so as to maintain social distancing;
    • Maintain and update a Daily Contacts Diary: you must keep a record of where you go, when, and who you see while on campus.
    • Limit your movements. Try not to move around the campus too much. Stick to your own space as much as possible.
    • Exchange of devices, utensils, lunch boxes, and paperwork/file work should be avoided as much as possible.
    • Avoid over-crowding. More than 2-3 students at a single place should not be observed. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against who will be found guilty.
    • Entry without a face mask will be denied.
    • If the cafeteria is at full capacity, students must wait patiently for their turn.
    • Do not crowd inside the Prayer Area.
    • All students must respect seating arrangements at class rooms.
    • Thermo guns, mask, sanitizer, hand wash facilities are already purchased and maintained in the University.
    • The parents/guardians of the students are already restricted from gate to Advisory Office, which is sanitized regularly.
    • Waiting area is regularly sanitized and maintained. There is no Hostel in the University.
    • Fumigation has been done while regular process is carried out by the University with its own staff.
    • The instruments required for fumigation and chemical used has been procured by the University.
    • Medical Center exists in the University.
    • An isolation room has been designated for the purpose.
    • Class timings is 50 minutes, can be maintained.
    • Contingency Plan A:
      • University has divided the students (only final year of all degree programs) in two groups. First group is called from Mon-Wed and the other group is called from Thu- to Sat.
      • If any student, faculty or staff contracts the COVID-19, the particular group will not be allowed on the campus. The classes will shift to online mode and COVID-19 test will be conducted for all those who may have come in contact with the patient.

      Contingency Plan B:

      • In case there is an outbreak of COVID-19 and cases are reported from multiple students and/or staff, university will completely shift to an online mode of education. All physical classes and labs will be suspended. Comprehensive testing of all university personnel will be carried out. Students will not be allowed to return to campus until the situation is controlled.

 

Note: A committee has been formed comprising of following members to monitor the implementation of all SOPs in letter & spirit, in fact will ensure healthy environment for teachers, students and staff.

Note: Transport is a private company, responsible for pick and drop of the students/teachers and University has no relation but will be advised to develop and follow SOPs to avoid health issue of person using the transport.

 

Schedule of return of students

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

Faculty of Pharmacy, BEMS
Faculty of Business Administration Commerce & Economics
Food Science & Technology department:

Procedure
The 8th semester students of Business Administration Commerce & Economics and Food Science & Technology will return to the University on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
The students of 10th semester of Pharmacy and 6th semester of BEMS will return to the University on these days.
All others students of semesters 2, 4, 6, and 8th (incase of Pharmacy) will continue with online teaching/learning process.
Similarly, the above-mentioned students coming to the university will also undergo teaching/learning process through online system for the rest three days.


Thursday, Friday, Saturday

Faculty of Science                 (All Departments)
Faculty of Social Sciences     (All Departments)

Procedure
The 8th semester students of Science and Social Sciences departments will return to the University on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
All others students of semesters 2, 4 and 6th, will continue with online teaching/learning process.

Similarly, the above-mentioned students coming to the university will also undergo teaching/learning process through online system for the rest three days.

 

Note:   The students their parents/guardians, teachers their parents/guardian, staff their parents/guardians are required to thoroughly read the SOP’s and to follow is mandatory.

Further details of conduct of classes, laboratories will be explained by the Chairperson of respective departments along with timetable.

All students of other semesters of all departments will be undergoing teaching/learning process on online system. The final year students coming for three days will also undergo teaching/learning process on online system for the rest of the three days.

The University has taken all facilitation steps for the students which will be demonstrated on the first day during the orientation session.
