The Department of Islamic learning conducted a workshop on Quran, Ramadan and Taqwa. Research scholar Maria Talha stated that Ramadan is a great blessing for Muslims, it is the month in which the Quran was revealed, a complete book of guidance for humanity. This month connect us with the Quran we should strive to read it, reflect upon it and act upon its teachings. She emphasized the blessing of this month should be incorporated into our lives for the next 11 months.
Dean faculty of social sciences professor Surayya Qamar said that Allah subhanahu taala is Our creator and He knows we are also sinners, He gives us the opportunity through the month of Ramadan to repent our sins with sincerity through worship.
A large number of faculty members and students attended the programme.
Member Board governors Jinnah University for women and former president of First women Bank Madam Akram Khatoon presented a shield to the guest speaker.
