The Department of Food Science & Technology (FST) and Human Nutrition & Dietetics (HND) hosted the Accreditation Audit and Follow-up Audit on 29 April 2026, conducted by the National Agriculture Education Accreditation Council (NAEAC), Higher Education Commission (HEC). The audit visit was carried out to evaluate academic quality, departmental performance, infrastructure, curriculum implementation, teaching and research facilities, and compliance with national accreditation standards.
The department had the honor of receiving representatives from the NAEAC Secretariat, including Dr. Abdul Ghaffar, Secretary NAEAC, and Mr. Zafar Ali, Software Engineer, NAEAC Secretariat, Higher Education Commission, Islamabad. The visit also included distinguished field experts, including Dr. Syed M. Ghufran Saeed from the Department of Food Science & Technology, University of Karachi, serving as Field Expert for HND, and Prof. Dr. Saghir Ahmed Sheikh from Hamdard University, serving as Field Expert for FST.
During the audit visit, the Head of Department Food Science & Technology, Dr. Anum Liaquat, warmly welcomed the accreditation team. The team reviewed departmental records, inspected academic infrastructure and laboratory facilities, and conducted interactive sessions with faculty members and students to assess academic quality and overall departmental performance.
Appreciation is extended to faculty members, students, and staff for their dedication, teamwork, and efforts in ensuring the smooth conduct of the audit visit. The feedback and observations shared by the accreditation team will serve as valuable input for further improvement and strengthening of academic and administrative processes in the department.
