Description: This project aims to assess the extent of microplastic accumulation in commercially significant molluscs inhabiting the mudflats of the Indus Delta. Through a combination of field surveys, laboratory analysis, and data interpretation, the study seeks to provide valuable insights into the presence, distribution, and potential impacts of microplastics on these vital organisms. The findings will contribute to advancing Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) targets related to marine pollution and ecosystem conservation, thereby facilitating informed policy-making and management strategies for the sustainable preservation of the Indus Delta ecosystem.
