The grand convocation ceremony of Jinnah University for Women was held on 2nd May 2025, celebrating a momentous day for nearly 1591 graduates from the Faculties of Science, Social Sciences, Pharmacy, Business Administration and Commerce, Medical and Allied Health Sciences.
The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, invoking the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, to bless the gathering and the new journeys awaiting the graduates. The serene recitation set a spiritually uplifting tone for the rest of the proceedings.
Following the recitation, the ceremony officially began in a spirit of pride and joy, as graduates, their families, and faculty members came together to mark years of academic dedication and perseverance.
A warm welcome address was delivered by the Chancellor, Mr. Wajeeh Uddin Ahmed, who congratulated the graduates and acknowledged the support of parents and educators. He emphasized the values of lifelong learning, integrity, and service to society, encouraging the graduates to carry those lessons forward into the real world.
The event was further honoured by the presence of the Chief Guest, His Excellency
Mr. Kamran Tessori, Governor of Sindh. In his address, he extended heartfelt congratulations to the graduating batch and urged them to contribute actively to the nation’s growth. He praised the university for its commitment to excellence in education and for nurturing a generation of thoughtful, skilled, and socially responsible professionals.
Degrees and medals were conferred upon the graduates amidst rounds of applause and joyful celebrations. Proud families captured every precious moment, while students beamed with a mix of achievement and anticipation for the future.
