The seminar on the “Typhoid Conjugated Vaccine ” organized by the Department of Microbiology at Jinnah University for Women, in collaboration with the American Society of Microbiology .The event took place on the 11th of May 2024 at 10:00a.m. PKT.
Summary
This seminar delved into the latest strategies for combating typhoid fever. The opening session was graced by esteemed guests including Drs syed Ali Murtaza,District Health Officer,Central Karachi and Dr. Mehraj Sandeep Kumar Additional District Officer.
The first guest speaker Dr.Hira Zaheer Khan, shared her expertise as district EPI focal person and district COVID 19 focal person.She provided valuable insight about the disease.
The next speaker,Dr Sobia Fatima,DDRSU focal person and district AEFI Focal person for the TCV compaign shed light on the significance of of Typhoid Conjugate Vaccine. She enriched the seminar with detailed information about the vaccine.
The seminar also welcomed chief guest Dr Naeem Rajput frpm EPI and Dr.Amjad immunization officer UNICEF provided comprehensive view of its implementation and impact.
Finally vote of thanks was delivered by Chairperson,Prof Dr .Mehmooda Kazmi,Department of Microbiology,Jinnah University for Women,expressing her gratitude to all participants,speakers, and organizers for their contributrion towards making seminar a resounding success.
