Jinnah University for Women celebrated Pakistan’s Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit on 13th August 2026. The event was attended by approximately 700–800 students, along with faculty members and distinguished guests.
The honourable guests included Brig. M. Yaqoob Awan, Director ISPR Sindh, renowned actor Mr. Behroz Sabzwari, and prominent television host and journalist Mr. Waseem Badami.
The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the National Anthem. Students actively participated in patriotic speeches, national songs and drama performances, highlighting the sacrifices made for Pakistan, the importance of independence, and the responsibilities of the younger generation toward the country.
The distinguished guests appreciated the enthusiasm and talent of the students and shared encouraging words with the audience. As a token of gratitude and appreciation, commemorative shields were presented to the honourable guests.
The celebration concluded successfully with a strong sense of patriotism, unity and national pride, making the Independence Day program a memorable occasion for the entire university community.
